Answer To Questions

 Frequently Asked Questions

what is the procedure for tongue cleaning?

Ans: Cleaning of the tongue can be carried out with a normal tooth brush, but preferably with the tongue scraper if a coating is established. This should be gentle cleaning to prevent the soft tissue damage. It is best to clean as far backward as possible because the back part of the tongue has the maximum coating. Tongue cleaning should be repeated until almost no coating material can be removed. Gagging reflexes can be there especially if tooth brushes are used, practice helps to prevent this. It can also be helpful to pull the tongue out with a gauge pad.
