Doc Every time I eat something sweet, one of my tooth on the right side of my mouth hurts pretty bad. What might be causing this and how can I deal with it. Thanks

If you have pain after eating something sweet then it must be either root caries or the gum problem causing the root exposure. When there is decay in crown part of tooth then normally there is hot and cold sensation but in case of root caries or exposure of root surface to the oral environment causes pain with thesweet things. For this you have to visit your dentist and get it diagnosed with clinical and radiographic examination and it root caries are there then restoration with composite is to be done if they are not very deep otherwise you may have to go for root canal treatment. If it is due to gum problem then you will require gum treatment.
