Blister after wisdom teeth removal

By Maya 7/30/2010 7:44:39 PM
I just got my wisdom teeth removed a couple weeks ago and i thought everything was mostly healed but now there is an area on the outer side of my gum near my back molar next to my cheek, its a tender lump like a blister. What is it and what do I do to get rid of it?

There can be many causes of the blister. It is dfficult to give the diagnoss wth out clinical examination. It may be the extraction socket has not healed as it takes around 2 to 3 weeks for the extraction socket to heal and it depends upon the type of extraction like if it was normal or surgical. It can be due to infected tooth next to the wisdom tooth which is extracted or some uiceration. If it is due to the second molar then you have to go to the dentist and get the treatment. But if it is becase of the ulceraton then it wil heal itsself as the canker sores are self limiting.
