Bump on the roof of the mouth
By Olya 1/30/2010 10:36:40 PM
Hello! I have a little bump onthe roof of my mouth, it looks lik a little pimple. I got it 5 days ago, have no idea why. I don't remember burning my mouth with a hot drink or anything like this. I feel it sometimes, when I eat something hard, or when I press on, it hurts a little. I'm really worried, I've never had anything like this. Although I have a white tongue...for a while already. Have never done anything about it. Could it be the reason why i got that bump? What is it? And how can I get rid of the bump and the white coating on my tongue? Should I get an appointment with an oral surgeon? Help please !

The bump on the palate can be due to some infection in the gum or the tooth if you have no history of any kind of trauma to the palate. For this you can go to some dentist who will diagnose the problem after seeing it clinicall or after taking the X-ray's if required and if needed can refer you to the specialist accordingly. For white coated tongue you should clean your tonge regularly with the tongue cleaner. The coated tongue can cause the bad breath but not te bump on the palate. might be thrush...just call your pcp and ask for diflucan. Can almost guarantee that is what it is without seeing it.
