Little Red On Above Tooth
By Jill 1/28/2010 8:12:18 PM
Right aboive my tooth, the gum is a little red it doesn't hurt, isn't swollen, isn't puffy, doesn't bleed, doesn't have a sore, isn't irrated. The other areas of my gums are pink it's just that one spot above the tooth on the gum that is red. What ALL should I do?? What could be wrong??? I'm really worried & can't get into the denist for a few months cuz she's alway's busy :*( Please Reply Soon

You have not mentioned since when the redness is there and whether it is increasing or not. Normally this sort of redness which is localized can be because of some sort of minor trauma like the injury with the brush while brushing or if you change the tooth brush or it can be because of some injury while eating. These sort of redness normally goes within a week. You can do warm salne rinses for 2 to 3 times a day and take care not to irritate it further . If it does not go then you have to visit a dentist.
