Looking for another option
By MIKEISHA 1/19/2010 8:24:24 PM
One of my back tooths are broken. It did have a filling but that came out before the tooth had broken. I recently saw a dentist and was told I needed a root canal but when I saw another dentist it took me to say something for her to say, well yeah you should get a root canal which was only because I told her that I spoke to another dentist that recommened it. I did research and looking at the broken tooth and comparing it with some of the information, I don't think a root canal would be the option. Granted I am no dentist, but my gums don't look infected, in fact she said they are in good shape, minus some receding on two tooths in the front due to piercings, but other than that everything was fine. I wanted to know if that would be anything other than a root canal that could be done possibly another filling or crown or something like that.

If your tooth is broken then you have to go for Root Canal Treatment if you really want to save it. At present your gum may not be infected but as the pulp of the tooth get exposed lateron, the infection can set in. So before going for any crown you have to get the Root Canal Treatment done and above that crown can be given.
