By maria 8/10/2012 1:09:49 AM
i have done root canal, One of my canal is closed with calcium. My dentist fill it up my 2 canals, but third one she couldn't open it. It is so hard like a rock and she said it's calcium. I dont know if I can leave it like that and puy the crown or go to specialist and let it open. Please help me! Thank you

Well while doing a Root Canal, the nerve from all the canals should be extirpated. Leaving one canal unprepared means that the infection is still there and it can further lead to root canal failure.

Most probably your one canal might have encountered with ledge. So,  its necessary to break it. Either you talk to the dentist who is doing your treatment or you can visit a specialized endodontist but dont put crown over the unprepared or partially treated tooth.
