Removal of Braces by dentist without paying up

By Sabrina 5/4/2011 6:49:20 PM
When I was in the 8th grade I got braces on.Right before they were supposed to get removed I moved with my dad and he didn't finish my braces. So I didn't get them tightened for many months like 8 and then I got them tightened once then went I moved back with my mom she doesn't have the money to finish them or get them off.Western Dental wants way too much money and said we broke their agreement plan so they want like $500 to remove them. Now the wires are coming off and the bands and a bracket came off and they are leaving major sores in my mouth.Does western dental have a legal obligation to take them off my mouth without us having to pay money?

I have sympthy with your situation. Of course you have to pay up to dentist for removal of braces. In case you donot have money then you can try dental school near your home and they can do it free. There are other ways also to look for free treatment. You can browse ada.org to look for free dental clinics appointments or can visit another dentist as removal is not big thing and can be done any dentist. For more info on how to find free dental braces work you can read this article....  www.identalhub.com/article_free-dental-help-500.aspx

is it possible to remove braces within 3 or 4 month and after that get a straighten teeth? and how much money it take for braces?

No it is not possible to remove braces after 3-4 months and then get teeth straightened. Braces only straighten the teeth and they should be there for 18-24 months and after that there is retention period in which you have to wear the retainers. If you really want to get straigth teeth then you have to complete treatment. The cost for braces is around $3500 - $7000 depending on type of braces and place to place.

Hi I am 25years old and I have had braces since I was 18 and am wondering about what to do to get them removed for my teeth are really straight know just haven't had money or insurance to get them removed but how much would it cost to remove and clean

Nicholas the cost of removal differs from dentist to dentist and from place to place. Usually the cost of removal is included in the treatment cost only but still u can ask about it from ur dentist and it is better to get it removed from same dentist who started ur treatment.

Stacey, don't worry even if u don't have money but still u need to get them removed otherwise they will cause havoc in ur mouth. You can get them removed from a near by dental school that offer very cheap treatment and even they might remove them for free as well.Another option is care credit that provides loan for dental treatment that can be re payed in installments later on .So go to a near by dentist and inquire about the various offers that they give and do get them removed other wise4 they will start harming your teeth , lips , tongue and bone..............for more info refer the link...........http://www.identalhub.com/articlecategory-braces-21.aspx

Hi CRYSTAL,The California Dental Association offers one several low cost dental services. In California there are several dentistry schools that offer you a chance of getting dental care at really low costs. These schools are UCSF School of dentistry, University of Pacific School of dentistry. These dentistry schools have student dentists who will attend to you under the watchful eye of their trainer.Although this kind of treatment might require more time when it is performed by a student dentist but the procedure will be the same as at a dental clinic. There are several dentists around in California. You can ask your dentist for a discount on the fees charged.Do not be shy to ask for a discount from your dentist. You will be surprised at how much of a discount your dentist might be willing to offer you.For more info, visit the link http://www.identalhub.com/article_low-cost-dental-care-california--471.aspx
