Swelling after Periodontal Infection

i seem to have a perisodontal gum infection, i have had it for days non. the pain is slowly going Away but the swelling is still there. will it go away by itself, or i have to go to a dentist. i have tried so far chlorhexamed moutwash. i am 28.

You continue with the mouthwash gargles and also do warm saline gargles two to three time daily. Also get it checked by the dentist as it might be due to the periodontal infection that you had.
