Teeth rubbing against the cheeks can be because of some sharp or cracked tooth or can be because of erupting wisdom tooth poking the cheeks. Continuous irritation of cheeks from the sharp cusps of the teeth can injure the cheeks and can lead to raw spot on cheeks which can lead to soreness. Clenching of teeth, cracked tooth or tooth decay can lead to sharpness of teeth. Wisdom tooth might not be straight and irritating the cheeks. You can visit your dentist to get it evaluated whether occlusion needs to be corrected. If there is decay of the tooth or if the tooth is cracked, then restoration of tooth is done. Tooth can be restored with composite filling material which is esthetic filling material. If you are in habit of teeth grinding which has lead to sharpness of teeth, then mouth guard will be given to relax the jaw muscles and to avoid damage to the teeth. Sharp tooth can be rounded off.  If it is wisdom tooth which is poking the cheeks, then selective grinding or extraction of wisdom tooth can be done. By the time you visit your dentist; you can apply orajel over the site and can also take OTC pain med for some relief. You can also do warm saline rinses 2-3 times a day. Maintain a good oral hygiene to avoid any deposits around teeth and secondary infections. For more info on good oral hygiene, refer to… http://www.identalhub.com/article_good-oral-hygiene-231.aspx
