whether to pull all Wisdom tooth
By kingler 1/20/2010 8:30:02 PM
I have a problem with lower left wisdom tooth ,I has slight pain due to a side hole. while under going deep cleaning Doctor said that I has to do Root canal or to extract the wisdom tooth. My question is can I do a crown instead of root canal (80% of the tooth is still there) He did a deep cleaning on that side (upper and lower). he also said that I cannot extract wisdom tooth without cleaning the other side (then only he will give a referral for taking the wisdom tooth. All the other three wisdom tooth are healthy and I don't want to take the healthy wisdom tooth .

If the pain is there in the wisdom tooth you can not go for the crown with out getting the root canal treatment as it looks like the wisdom tooth is already infected. If you put the crown with out the root canal treatment it will start painning and you have to get the root canal treatment done eventually. If you decide for puling it out then you have to get the upper one also pulled out. so in my opinion if the tooth can be saved with root canal treatment then go for the root canal treatment and then the crown above that. For more info on root canal treatment you can visit the following link on our web site.......http://www.identalhub.com/articlecategory-root-canal-therapy-17.aspx
