The latest research conducted among British adults has thrown up really surprising results about oral hygiene. About a fifth of British adults go two days or more without brushing their teeth as has been released in the latest survey.
Nearly a quarter of British adults only brushes once a day rather than the recommended twice, and two-thirds admitted it takes them less than 60 seconds, according to the poll by the Dental Smile Clinic in Bristol. One in 30 men said they never brush their teeth unless their partners tell them to.
Only 67 percent of Brits believe their oral hygiene is up to scratch, while 2 percent say they would prefer to have a tooth pulled for free by the NHS than go private and pay to save it. All of these revealing facts have been thrown up in the latest survey that was conducted across Britain.
It's worrying that people neglect their teeth to such an extent the the Daily Star quoted study organizer Dr Neil Gerrard as stating.
The survey was conducted to mark the National Smile Month that is being celebrated this month.
