Toothbrush and Dental Floss Impact of Streptococcus Enzyme

The latest news from investigators in Japan shows that the bacterium Streptococcus salivarius is a bacterium that is found naturally in the human mouth. It is most of the times considered to be harmless for humans. It goes on to inhibit plaque and create two enzymes in the mouth that go on to produce the formation of dental bio-films. This is the latest research findings that have been published in the journal of Applied and Environmental Microbiology.

This is one way that you can go on to prevent dental cavities by using the enzymes. This is the best way to fight cavities with the help of these enzymes. The inhibitors were able to fight even in the presence of sucrose. The amount of impact that it causes depends on the amount of sucrose to be found. The inhibitors worked well in the presence of sucrose concentration.

The use of these enzymes can actually go on to completely stop the formation of the bacteria that go on to multiply in your mouth. S. Salivarius is the main species of bacteria to be found in the mouth, according to the report that was published.

The authors suggest that these enzymes are actually able to regulate microbial pathogenicity in the oral cavity. They found that a commercially produced enzyme was as effective as S. Salivarius FruA at stopping bacterial formation, despite the fact that its amino acid composition is somewhat different from that of S. salivarius.
The enzyme is produced not only by S. salivarius, but by other oral streptococci bacteria as well. All the bacteria that are found in the oral cavity are not the harmful ones only. There are those that are beneficial and good for you that help in the maintenance of good oral health. They will also be able to go on and control the progression of oral disease in the mouth.
