I did hybrid fixed dentures on implants. During the last appoint dentist brought 2 bars. He tried lower and it did not fit-needed to be redone, he did not try the upper one yet. What minimum amount of appointments is needed to complete the work Thanks

  • To make hybrid fixed dentures on implants, firstly dental implants are inserted in the bone and then temporary titanium copings are placed on these dental implants. After titanium copings are placed, an exact impression is taken and an exact cast model is made recreating the positions of implants in relation to surrounding tissues. After this, master cast is created to fabricate fixed hybrid dental implant restoration. To record the jaw relations, occlusal rims are made and after recording jaw relations, titanium bars are made. Teeth setting is done on wax on the top of the bar and try in is done of teeth which are there in wax and bar to verify jaw relations, esthetics, phonetics etc. After this, final prosthesis is made. Number of appointments which are required depends on how much work Is done. Normally 4-5 visits are required after dental implants placement but if the patient or the dentist is not satisfied during any step of procedure, then work needs to be redone and number of appointments which are required increases. To get good work, number of visits should not be counted.   For more info on dental implants, refer to….   http://www.identalhub.com/article_what-are-dental-implants-173.aspx
