I recently had my wisdom teeth pulled, but every now and again, their is a weird taste in my mouth. Is this normal, and is their a way that I can get it to go away? Also is it safe to use salt water to rinse?

  • You have not mentioned when you got it extracted . it is normal to have some weired taste in the mouth now and then till the socket is healed. But you should maintain good oral hygeine and can use some good mouth wash also. The weired taste is because of the food impaction in the socket which is not cleaned. It can cause infection also. You can do warm saline rinses after 24 hours of extaction. The warm saline rinses help in healing the socket and also keeps the area clean.
