Root canal treatment looks really painful! I don't know what chance to get it done on a 2 year old. IS that possible?? It seems time consuming and hurts A LOT... the boy is not a cooperative typed...
The blister on the front tooth is due to infection in the front tooth. There is no need to get it pulled out as this tooth will be replaced with permanent tooth at the age of around 7 years. You will have to get root canal treatment done for this tooth which will remove the infection. If you donot get the treatment done then this infection can cause the damage of the permanent tooth as the tooth bud of permanent tooth is very near to this tooth. You have to take your child to Pedodontist. For more info on you can read this article... www.identalhub.com/dental-different-types-of-children-dental-emergencies-793.aspx

As the abscess is already formed, the tooth is dead and it won't be painful for RCT. Root Canal treatment is done in small children also and Pedodontist is the right dentist for that. If the child is not cooperative then treatment can be done with oral sedative or concious sedation or laughing gas. You can go do Pedodontist and they know how to manage children as they specialise in children dentistry only.
