Dear Sir, My front tooth have been replaced with ceramic metallic crowns six years back. Now that i want to replace them with new crowns, I want to know if the old crowns can be removed without the fracture of underlying teeth. Please tell me. Thank you.

  • Yes, the crowns can be removed without any damage to the underlying teeth. It is normally removed with the crown remover but if that is not able to remove it or the dentist feels that the underlying teeth can fracture then the crown are cut to remove them.
