  • Bad breath can be because of poor oral hygiene, unclean tongue, less of saliva in the mouth or can be because of some systemic problem like gastric or respiratory disorder. Bad breath is not a disease but is a symptom of disease. If it is because of poor oral hygiene, then maintain good oral hygiene by brushing and flossing regularly to avoid bad breath. If there are cavities present in the teeth, then get that restored as food deposits in the cavity can also lead to bad breath.  Make sure to clean tongue to avoid any deposits on the tongue which can cause bad breath and take more of fluids. You can also use a mouthwash to mask the effect of bad breath. If the bad breath persists, then consult your dentist or medical doctor to get the reason of bad breath diagnosed and get treatment done for it.  For more info on prevention and remedies of bad breath, you can refer to following article... http://www.identalhub.com/article_prevention-and-remedies-of-bad-breath-18.aspx
