  • If the tooth is growing sideways which is mostly canine or bicuspid then mostly word used by dentist is that patient needs "Uncovery". Basically it is dento alveolar surgery which is done to expose the tooth. This is done along with braces treatment. In this the tooth which is growing sideways is uncovered by surgery and then a bracket is attached to it. This bracket is attached with a chain to the wires of the braces and the tooth is guided into position slowly. It may take 6 months to 1 year. During this treatment you really have to take good care of your teeth by keeping good oral hygience otherwise you can get infection. For good oral hygiene with braces you can read the following article.. www.identalhub.com/dental-how-to-keep-mouth-clean-with-braces-618.aspx
