  • First of all you have find out the cause of the swollen gum. In your case it looks like as it is because of infected tooth as it is localised and not generalised. In infected tooth it can be because of decay or infection in periodontal tissue around the root. The treatment will be according to that. If it is because of decay and subsequent infection then root canal treatment has to be done and if periodontal tissue is involved with bone loss then SCRP or may be flap surgery has to be done. For proper diagnosis you have to go to dentist who after clinical examination and xray will find out the cause and do treatment accordingly.
