Hi, My son turned 4 in Jan2010. He had multiple cavities and complained of tooth ache once so I consulted dentist. According to dentist my son needs tooth extraction for 8 teeth with cavities, 4 root canals of molars with crowns and some fillings and all this will be done under GA. My son's teeth are in bad shape and front two teeth are nearly half disolved. But would you recommend such a massive surgery for child of this age. Do we have other alternatives? Thanks in advance for your response.

  • Your child must be having rampant caries which involves multiple teeth. The baby teeth are very important and you have to get the treatment done. If they are infected then it can effect the adult teeth. So you should go for the treatment. Your child will not have any pain and will be able to eat noramally. There is no other alternative . iI you want to know more about the childeren teeth you can visit the following link.........http://www.identalhub.com/articlecategory-children-dentistry-33.aspx
