I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth extracted last Friday. I had dry socket and my holes packed, my dentist took the packings out on Wednesday and also my stitches. He told me I was good to go. All of my other holes are fine but one is still hurting a lot, in my bone it feels like. Is this normal?

  • It is normal to have pain and swelling after wisdom teeth extraction. It takes time for healing as healin depends on how the teeth were extracted. May be on the side where you have pain, the bone cutting was more. If there is no swelling and pain is decreasing day by day then you can wait for 3-4 days but if the discomfort is increasing and swelling is there then you have to visit the denstist as there my be still infection. Keep taking your meds and keep very good oral hygiene. For more info on problems you can read this article.... http://www.identalhub.com/article_do's-and-don'ts-after-tooth-extraction-153.aspx
