  • Decay near the gum line is restorable but the type of treatment depends on extent of tooth decay. If the decay is not very deep then dentist will just clean the area and do the composite filling but it the decay is deep and is nearing the pulp then you have to go for Root canal treatment and after that you will needing dental crown. This type of dental decay near gum line is very common and it is better to get it treated ASAP.
