I keep getting infections that don't go away until the affected tooth is either pulled or has a root canal. We've tried antibiotics alone with no success, not until the tooth is fixed. The thing is that xrays don't show an abscess so dentists don't believe I'm sick and ignore me. This is now happening for the 4th time and I feel just as confused as ever. How is this happening? What can I do? Symptoms: I have had burning in my chest, coughing up a lot of phlegm, tired, low grade temp for a month, loose bowels started about 3 days ago, feeling even more tired and feverish. Same each time, we try antibiotics, but I never get better til the tooth is fixed. Specialist said my immune system is fine.

  • Some people respond to infection with fever and becase of the fever lethrgy . For this it is better to prevent the infection than to go for the treatment after wards. For this you should get routine dental check ups after every six  months along wiuth the cleaning . Try to maintain very good oral hygeine by brushing your teeth twice and doing the flossing. The teeth get infected either because of decay or gum infection. You should try to prevent these so that this do not happen.
