My daughter had a tooth extracted during removal the decayed tooth broke and pieces were left in her gum when raising my concerns with the dentist she told me the pieces will fall out. I do not believe the pieces will fall out on their own since they are imbedded in the gum and worry about the risk of infection. What is your opinion?

  • Ideally when  the tooth is extracted the whole tooth should be extracted. No pieces should be left esecially in the gms. They should be removed. Sometimes when the root tip is broken and it is very deep and uninfected ,then dentist some times leave it as lot of bone cutting has to be done to reove it. Otherwise the whole tooth should be extracted. If you want to know more about the tooth extaction you can visit the following link on our website............
