Are there 2 kinds of tooth cleaning, simple and deep? Is the deep cleaning same as scaling? Cleaning needed for implanted teeth? Thanks

  • The tooth paste is just a media to clean the teeth so any good tooth paste of good company can be used. It is the brush and type of brush and brushing technique which matters. Toothbrush should be soft and it should be used with proper brushing technique and toothbrush should be changed after every 3-4 months. So your wife can use any tooth paste with soft brush and proper brushing technique. • Yes, there are two types of teeth cleaning. One is simple which is called scaling and the deep cleaning is done with root planning. In routine if you do not have any deep pockets or gum problem and go for 6 monthly cleaning then the simple scaling is done even in the implanted teeth but if there is some gum problem and the dentist feel that deep cleaning is needed then the deep cleaning is done.
