I had a wisdom tooth decay and eventually break off. There is still a small piece of the tooth in my gums. The area around where the tooth was is slightly swollen and I have a nasty, bitter taste in my mouth 24/7 now. I do not have any money to seek professional help. Is there anyway to prolong the infection until I can save up enough money to see a dentist?

  • It is better to get it pulled out as soon as possible as it can cause further problems. You can go to some dental school where the treatment is cheaper. Maintain good oral hygeine and keep doing warm saline rinses. It really helps in controlling the infection.
