I had an implant a year ago then bone graph for more implants. a month ago dentist opened gums to do other implants but found there was not enough bone. last week my front tooth (one next to implant) began to hurt. general dentist did a root canal. since that time area around implant has been extremely swollen and painful. What is going on, unfortunately I am on vacation and can't get to my dentist. Painful!!

  • After Root Canal Treatment the tooth takes some time to settle down. So you can wait for another week. However if pain and swelling does not go by that time then may be infection is still there in that area which is causing the swelling and pain. In that case you have to visit your dentist and get it checked and if needed he will prescribe you some meds or antibiotics for pain and swelling to go.
