  • I'm sorry you have had painful procedures, but with the latest technologies and anesthetics, root canal treatment today is no more uncomfortable than having a filling placed. In fact, a recent survey showed that patients who have experienced root canal treatment are six times more likely to describe it as “painless” than patients who have not had root canal treatment. If your dentist says you can have root canal treatment, be sure to ask to see an endodontist, a root canal specialist. You can find one at www.aae.org/Patients/

  • First you have to go to dentist and find out by getting xray done whether root canal treatment is possible after 3 years of wait or not. If it is possible then go ahead and get it done. Root canal treatment is done after numbing that area and is not a painful procedure. If you are apprehensive then you can get it done under sedation like laughing gas or oral sedation. After root canal treatment, a dental crown will be needed on that tooth. If it is not possible to do Root Canal and save the tooth then you have get this tooth pulled out and get fixed bridge or implant done to replace the tooth.
