I was wondering my tooth has broken since I had a root canal and now I've had dizziness and ear pain. I was wondering if I could have an infection in that tooth without knowing it since the root is gone? Would I have gum pain or tooth ache associated with it. My white blood count is fine.

  • If the tooth is broken after root canal treatment that means you did not get the crown made above the tooth as after root canal treatment, the tooth becomes brittle and there are chances of its breakage. Now as it is broken, it is possible that tooth has infection. The ear pain may be because of this but if the root canal treated tooth is infected, you will feel some pain in that tooth and have some swelling or some sinus development. If you donot have any such symptoms then may be pain is due to some ear infection as you have feeling of dizziness also. You can go to dentist and get xray done to rule out any infection in the tooth. If there is no infection then you have to consult your physician.
