  • Swelling on the lower jaw can be because of impingement by the lower denture. On eating some hard food, the denture must be impinging on the jaw which will be causing the pain. You can visit your dentist and get your lower denture corrected. Do warm saline rinses 3-4times a day which will reduce the swelling. You can also apply some anesthetic pain gel otc . You have to maintain a good oral hygiene. Keep your dentures clean and take your dentures out minimum for 6hrs.
