  • Yes when two different metals are in close proximity then the glavanic current is passed and causes acute pain. To combat this pain either you have to get the gold crown changed to ceramic PFM or all ceramic crown. In PFM crown the metal used is inert and does not cause any problem. Moresoever it is covered by ceramic. You can get the silver filling changed with tooth colored composite filling. This will be a cheaper than changing dental crown and is easy to do. So schedule an appointment you can read this article on composite restoration.... http://www.identalhub.com/article_procedure-of-composite-restoration-286.aspx
