  • Yes it is possible to get the braces treatment done even if the upper and lower molars are extracted. If there is space present due to missing teeth, then it can be filled with the adjacent teeth with the help of braces treatment.  It is the wisdom teeth or the premolars which are mainly extracted for the braces treatment but in your case, if the molars are missing, then the missing space of molars can be used for orthodontic treatment. Your orthodontist will take care of that. Braces treatment is given for duration of 18-24 months depending on the amount of misalignment which is present and the age of the patient. Teeth will get straightened with the braces treatment. You can opt for metallic or ceramic or lingual braces for your teeth. If you don’t want to have metallic teeth, then you can opt for invisaligns which are removable, transparent aligners.
