I am still having pain from my tooth being extracted, like a soarness, and my gum throbs when I bend down to pick up something off the floor. The area aches when cold air/liquid hit the area. Although I have tried to be careful when eating, sometimes food particles get into the hole. Is this one reason my gum still hurts? The area doesn't feel swollen, the gum area looks pink like the rest of my gums. What is the normal time period for healing?

  • the compete healng tekes place in 3 weeks. tTll then mild pain or soreness is normal. You have to maintain very good oral hygeine and try tp do rinses after every meal so that the food particles are not stuck there and does not cause the infection. You can do warm saline rinses for better healing.
