  • Your question is not very clear. You have not mentioned that which teeth are pontics that is which teeth are missing and which tooth is root canal treated or which teeth are acting as an abutment that is which teeth are giving support to the missing teeth.  What we interpret  from your question is that you earlier had a bridge on 19, 20 and 21 and 19 was root canal treated tooth and now it has got damaged and requires surgical removal . If 19 is removed, then 18 is required for the support of the missing tooth. Teeth adjacent to the abutment are also added if the abutments are not that strong.   You can ask the dentist if the damaged root canal treated tooth can be saved by re-root canal procedure and post and core than pulling it out or can discuss an option of implants for this.  Without clinical examination, it is difficult to tell whether these options can be used or not. You can discuss about it with your dentist. If you have money constrains, you can approach any of the dental schools near your place for cheaper treatment.
