  • Main cause of calculus deposit is poor oral hygiene. If brushing is not done properly, the plaque calcifies and forms the calculus which is quite hard. It is difficult to remove yourself. You have to visit a dentist who will do Deep Cleaning (SCRP) and do polishing. After that when the gums heal then if gaps are not acceptable to you then you can go for composite builtups. But you have to maintain very good oral hygiene so that depsosits donot reoccur and in your case 6 monthy visit to dentist for cleaning etc is mandatory.
