I am a 30 yr old healthy young woman who doesn't smoke and only has about 2 alcholic beverages a month. I found a brown spot on the roof of my mouth. I went to see my doctor and she told me she wasn't sure of what it was, but gave me an antibiotic to see if that would help. She told me to take the antibiotic for two weeks and if that didn't help then she'd refer me to anothet doctor that may be able to help.

  • Sometimes the brown lesion which is seen in oral cavity is a haematoma, which is there due to some trauma. This is self limiting and heals itself. You just have to take care that you donot irritate it so that it donot rupture. It heals itself within 7-10 days and there is no need to take any meds for this. However definate diagnosis can be given only after clinical examination.
