I have a deep pocket under a bottom molar on each side of my mouth. I have already lost one of my very back molars when Bone graphing was unsuccessful. The dentist wants to pull them since they cant be saved and do implants. I can't afford this and am thinking of having a partial instead. My question is if I have the teeth pulled will the bone continue to deteriorate moving towards the other teeth. I am a diabetic with excellent oral hygine says my dentist so this is the only issues I have with my gums/teeth.

  • The success of the bone grafting depends upon the case selection and as you are diabetic chances of success are less. You can go for extraction . The dental infection does not travel as each tooth is i its own socket . So if you get the tooth pulled out there are no chances that the infection will travel to next tooth if you maintain good oral hygeine For more info on gum diseases you can visit the follwoing link......www.identalhub.com/articlecategory-gum-diseases-9.aspx
