  • You can’t implant a wisdom tooth in place of missing tooth. Replantation of same tooth which came out after trauma or accident can be done but you can’t implant a wisdom tooth in space created by pulling out of decayed tooth. If the tooth is decayed, then you can get it restored. If caries have not reached the pulp, then dental filling can be done for decayed tooth and if pulp is also involved in decay, then root canal treatment can be done for the tooth. If there is loss of much of tooth structure, then dental crown or post and core followed by dental crown is given to the patient depending on tooth structure loss. If the decayed tooth can be saved, then better save it. If tooth is non-restorable, then you can get the tooth pulled out. If tooth extraction is the only option for decayed tooth, then missing tooth can be replaced with dental implants or dental bridge. Dental implants are the best option for replacement of missing teeth.
