I am thinking of having tooth #12 extracted and having a upper partial denture made with #2 #12 and #15 (2 and 15 are already gone) Would this be a functional denture? This seems to be the most inexpensive way to go.

  • You are talking about removable partial denture and with the tooth numbers you are telling, it will be functional. But initially there are some problems as you have to wear a plate on which teeth are present but with time you will adjust. This is not a permanent solution. These are also called as flippers.
