I got a tongue crib put on two days ago, and I am having some serious speech issues. My "s" "d" and "j" sounds are very lisp-sounding. I stutter a little as well. I had never had a speech impediment before, so this it new and a little humbling. When will I be speaking normally again? My tongue is also raw from this appliance. Is there anything I can do to make it heal? Thank you for your help!

  • Initially with tongue crib the problem of speech and the soreness of the tonge is there but after few days when ur tongue will be adjusted to the new guided position you will be comfortable and there will not be any lisping . So do not worry on that issue. For sreness of tongue you can apply orajel. For more info on dental topics you can browse our website
