  • Red swollen gum can be there due to gum infection in that area or can be because of trauma to the gums in that area. You can do warm saline rinses 3-4 times a day to reduce the swelling in the gums. Maintain a good oral hygiene by brushing and flossing regularly. A mouth wash can also be used. Dental cleaning may be required for it for which you have to consult your dentist. If the infection is severe, gum surgery may be required .
