I turned 31 two weeks ago and had a wisdom tooth point come in this past week. I've had a dull naggy headache for the past 2 weeks and sinus problems for the past year, could wisdom teeth be the cause of these problems? Isn't 31 kind of old to get wisdom teeth?

  • The wisdom tooth can come at any age so your age of 31 years is not late. Sometimes it erupts in late 40s also though the average eruption time is 18-25 years. If the tip is already visible and there is no localised pain or swelling then your headache cannot be because of erupting wisdom teeth. It can be because of your chronic sinus problem. But if you are concerned then you can go to dentist and get exam done but in meanwhile try to maintain good oral hygiene and make sure that no infection or food impaction is there in that area. You can do warm saline rinses 2-3 times a day. For more info on wisdom tooth, you can browse following link in our website... www.identalhub.com/dental-knowing-all-about-wisdom-teeth-719.aspx
