I had a root canal and a crown put on my tooth about a year ago. I have noticed ever since I have had the crown I have some dry mouth and bad breath issues. I have NEVER had dry mouth or bad breath issues. Am I allergic to the crown? Is there decay under the crown that they didn't get. How do I get rid of the bad breath and dry mouth, its very annoying to say the very least.

  • You have not mentioned which type fo crown you got , Normally it is ceramic one and it is inert and does ot cause any allergy. The dry mouth and thebad breath can be because of poor oral hygeine or it can be beacuse of improper cleaning of the area around the crown. You can get the dental cleaning done or goto the dentist and get the check up done. Some times food particles get stuck around the crown causing bad breath.
