My dentist said it was a state law in CT that yearly x rays are mandatory. Is this truly a law, or just his own policy? Thanks for your help!

  • If you get the dental X-ray's yeraly it is for your betterment as the changes which are taking place in your mouth, which is not visible by clinical exaination can be detected at the earliest. If some decay is occuring and you come to know in the early stages then a simple filling will be enough but if it is not detected in the early stages then may be you have to go for root canal treatment and then the crown or you may have to get a tooth pulled out. So it is better to go for the yearly X-ray's.
