"I have had severe pain since I was a kid in my lower front teeth and they make me giggle out of control sometimes . I can't sleep some times and when I lay down it gets worse. My dentist tried a root canal and a crown but that has not worked. These symptoms come and go about every 3 - 4 months and can last for days. What can I do ?

  • The pain might be there due to gum infection in that area. Plaque and calculus tends to deposit more on the lower front teeth and upper back teeth so the sensitivity and pain might be there due to gum infection.  For this, you have to maintain a good oral hygiene by brushing and flossing regularly. You can do warm saline rinses 3-4 times a day to reduce the gum swelling if present in that area. Without clinical examination, it is difficult to comment that what is causing you pain. You can discuss your problem with your dentist.   For more info on maintaining good oral hygiene, you can refer to the following article…. http://…. http://www.identalhub.com/article_good-oral-hygiene-231.aspx
