My 1 year old has brown stains on her teeth by her bottom gum line. She only drinks water and milk. Does not drink out of a bottle any longer. We brush her teeth once a day. What could it be?

  • Having brown stains on teeth can be because of either your giving some iron tonic or it can be nursing bottle caries. If she is taking some iron tonic then these brown stains will go when you stop giving this toinic. If these are because of early childhood caries, which is also called nursing bottle caries or rampant caries then you should take her to Pedodontist  and get the treatment start. Ideally the nursing bottle caries start from upper front teeth and then go to upper back teeth and then come to lower back teeth. Lower front teeth are usually spared by this. But you should not take chance and visit your dentist asap. For more info on nursing bottle caires, you can read this article from given link which will help you...
