This past thursday morning I had 3 silver filling replaced on upper left molars...friday morning noticed cheek was a swolen and sore . The soreness is normal for me after having some fillings, but I have never had any swelling...they did need to use a significant number of injections to numb the teeth and 2 of the injections were extrememly painful. Have called the dentist this morning but no return phone call yet...swelling is still there, though it seems to have moved lower? Normal or not?????

  • If the pain is not there and the swelling is decreasing then it is normal. some times the swelling is there because of the numbing shot . But if the sweling persist even after aweek then you should contact your dentist. if you want to know more about local anaesthesia then you can visit the following link on our website.....www.identalhub.com/article_local-anaesthesia-and-sedation-in-dentistry-416.aspx
