  • There are many causes. It can be because of deep bite, bruxism (people who grid teeth at night). It can also be because of consumption of colas or due to hard brushing. The people who suffer from bruxism are at greater risk of tooth wearing or loss of tooth enamel. In teeth griders, tooth wearing is normally on the occulsal level but in case of people who brush very hard with hard brush, the wearing is seen near the gums and it is called as cervical abrasion.
