  • The baby teeth normally erupt in oral cavity at the age of 6 months and start shedding by age of 6 years. Your child got the baby teeth very early ie 3 weeks. These are called neonatal teeth. Neonatal teeth are the teeth which are baby teeth but they erupt in oral cavity within 30 days of child birth. As they come early they tend to shed early also. So it is normal if the tooth has become loose at age of 4 1/2 years. The other reason for loose tooth can be trauma which you have to get ruled out by visiting a dentist as it is difficult for me to comment without clinical and radiographic examination.
